Hello there to friends old and new. I’ve created this new website to combine my present life as a painter and my previous life as a miniature book artist (about which, more below).

When I gave up making books it left a big hole in my life, but opened the door to learning how to use my skills to paint, and it seemed a very natural transition that gives me great joy. Instead of a text to lead me, I now am prompted by the natural world, as well as music, poetry, plays, and pretty much anything that takes my fancy. I hope you will enjoy looking at my work. 

 I shall be moving parts of my old website (dewaldenpress.com) onto this site, and the old website will eventually disappear. I have been unable to edit it for a while now, hence the necessity for the move.
